The Best of Both Worlds - Integrative Medicine
Our goal is to approach your pet’s care holistically and with balance. At Hello Harmony Vet by Rider Veterinary Services, we offer an alternative to conventional Western veterinary medicine and pet care. As a result, our integrative and balanced animal health care approach assesses all your pet’s symptoms. We treat the root issues and support long-term health and wellness. This allows us to address issues that are not responding well to conventional treatments and medications. Complimentary therapies include acupuncture, spinal manipulation (animal chiropractic care), massage, laser therapy, herbal medication, food therapy, supplements, and more. As part of your pet’s healthcare team, we work with your primary care veterinarian. As such, we can accomplish balanced holistic health and wellbeing for your pet.
An integrative approach is highly effective at treating disease and maintaining life-long health by combining the best of both worlds.
Putting the "Whole" into holistic Pet Care
Modern medicine as we practice and participate in it today focuses on a patient’s symptoms and treating those symptoms, which is an important part of health care. However, it rarely addresses the underlying cause of the disease. As a consequence, recurring health problems may result from not creating and implementing individual treatment plans for each pet’s unique healthcare needs. We believe each patient is an induvial and should be treated as such.
Hello Harmony Vet considers how a deeper understanding and investigation of the underlying cause of your pet’s symptoms are required to effectively treat and manage health issues and promote overall wellness.
Who We Are
Our goal is to provide balanced holistic and individualized care for your pet. We do this by integrating alternative treatments honed from Traditional Eastern Medicine and more modern manual therapies like rehabilitation and spinal care, into your pet’s treatment plan. We embrace patients as medical individuals and tailor treatment plans using evidence-based therapies and medicine. Harmony Vet by Rider Veterinary Services provides ‘w’ holistic pet care by working with your primary care veterinarian to ensure the best care possible for your pet. Meet our doctor >
What We Do....and Don't Do
We use traditional healing methods developed thousands of years ago and are still used today through the validation of scientific study. These trusted and gentle modalities fill the gaps left by conventional Western Medicine. Acupuncture can provide pain relief, reduce the need or side effects for pharmaceuticals, use to prolong survival rate in cancer patients, and promote the body’s natural ability to balance and heal. Manual therapies like massage and chiropractic adjustments also relieve pain, promote better joint function and mobility, improve circulation and immunity. Herbal medications potentiate acupuncture and often allow for a lower dose of conventional drugs that frequency care heavy side effects. Food Therapy uses specific whole foods to help your pet heal and promote balance and wellbeing as part of your pet’s individual treatment plan.
We do not provide certain imaging diagnostics like as x-rays, endoscopy, etc. We do not administer vaccines, perform surgery, heartworm testing or other very important services that are provided by your primary veterinarian. However, these are essential services. They should be administered by your primary vet regularly. Remember, it is the collaboration between adjunctive and conventional Medicine that has been shown to be optimal for overall health. That is what holistic pet care is all about! We actively engage with your primary veterinarian as part of your pet’s balanced, ‘w’holistic health care team to ensure the best care possible.
Here until the end: In home Euthanasia
When the time comes for your beloved furling to get an “upgrade”, that is help them pass peacefully, we will be there to help with the transition. We offer In home euthanasia services that provide a peaceful, dignified passing.

It likely would not... have been possible to even get him to our vet to be euthanized, but even had it been possible, as much as I love my vet, I couldn't imagine having to endure such an emotional experience outside of my home. More importantly, I couldn't imagine putting Gibbs through this, I wanted him to pass in his home environment that he had grown so accustomed and comfortable in.
Thanks to Rider Veterinary Services, this was made possible. Dr. Rider was wonderful and took the time to get to know Gibbs and our family prior to the euthanasia. Dr. Rider was gentle, kind, compassionate, and gave us privacy after he passed to spend time with Gibbs. Four days later, I even received a handwritten card with Gibbs paw prints on it from Dr. Rider.
Should you have to ever make this most difficult decision for your own pet, I highly recommend utilizing the compassionate and dignity filled services of Rider Veterinary Services.read more
Our grieving process has been, as you can imagine, very difficult. However, there is an ease knowing that Thora passed away in my arms with Dr. Rider’s gentle assistance. I cannot thank her enough for this.
Edit to add: Dr. Rider also sent us a heartfelt, personal card. I read it at a point in the day when I really needed to. Thank you.read more
Dr. Rider is the vet you want during those difficult times. She is compassionate, takes her to time to evaluate the situation before confirming that you're making the right decision, is honest about options and potential time frames if you are on the fence of making a decision. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our boy. Working in the vet field I've worked alongside a lot of vets and she's one of the good ones! I'm so thankful to her for coming on short notice and being the support we needed during that difficult time. If you're on the fence about at home euthanasia like I was, don't be. It was such a peaceful experience, my boy was in an environment he was comfortable in. No hussle and bustle of a hospital or stress and I was allowed to mourn freely. Thank you Dr. Rider for your kindness during a heart breaking time.read more
